Alison Dineen
Consultant Associate
Alison earned degrees in communication arts (MA,
University of West Florida) and museum studies (MA, George Washington
University), with concentrations in public affairs, museum administration,
and American studies. She came to ILE after working as the site manager
of the Waters House History Center, administered by the Montgomery County
Historical Society (MD). Other professional experience includes positions
with the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, Women's
Research and Education Institute, and Maryland Department of Business
and Economic Development. Her background includes exhibition research
and writing, collections care, and program management. Having worked for
a diverse range of nonprofit organizations, she is also skilled in writing
proposals for grant funding.
