Toy Tech is an active (constructivist learning) exhibition. Visitors play with toys and view adjacent cut-always to see how they work. They also make a variety of toys from inexpensive materials and view “The World’s Greatest Toys.” They learn physics and building skills while becoming empowered to do more exploration.A variety of hands-on toy building/inventing activities and classes can be added to the exhibit.
The exhibition includes:
- Approximately 16 “Play-Display” stations where visitors play with toys and learn how they work
- Toy-making station. Visitors make a variety of toys and innovate new toy designs.
- The “World’s Greatest Toys” exhibit, which includes approximately 35 toys and text labels.
- “How Toys Work” display of disassembled toys showing how they work.
- “Rocket Launcher” allowing visitors to make and test their own toy rocket.
- “Toy Tech Time”—a time line of toys from 40,000 years ago to current day.

- Color photographs
- 3 ceiling-mounted banners and two introduction signs, as well as text panels for each display.
The cost includes inbound shipping of the exhibition, on-site training (toy making) and exhibit set-up.
Special event option: “Science of Toys” demonstrations, toy-making workshops and training, teacher training on how to use toys to teach science by Dr. Ed Sobey. Ed directed 5 museums, founded the National Toy Hall of Fame, co-founded Kids Invent Toys and Camp Invention. He has written 16 books including Inventing Inventing Toys: Kids Having Fun Learning Science and Loco-motion.
